Innovation

In the sense of Schumpeter innovation is the all embracing creative process which starts with a new idea that is based on new  abilities and possibilities and is continued to the marketing of new products and services. Beyond this innovation has also a strategic component which ensures the long time future of the company. The increasing importance of innovation is proved by the results shown in the following figure.

After the last economic phase which has been characterized by downsizing and reengineering innovation today has its original importance to ensure the future of a company (see figure).

But innovation has become more and more complex. The influence of market customer law and competition on the development work and the  innovation strategy is so manifold that today not only technical but also logistic, economic, legal and additional competences have to be integrated. This is the only way to realize successful innovation  work.

For controlling this complexity it is important to support the creative process of innovation with useful methods in an active way. By using these methods development and innovation activities can be  controlled in a target oriented way. Part of these activities are the definition of the innovation strategy and the development targets as well as the controlling of the development projects in regards to  cost, time and achieving the targets.

To support these creative innovation process steps lots of different methods like quality function deployment (QFD), theory of solving  inventive problems (TRIZ), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)and others are very useful.

The following graphic gives an impression of the use of different methods in different development steps. In fact  these methods help to structure the development work and contribute to realize the results target oriented and in time.

Inno-Tech offers experience in technology and design on one hand and competence and ex- pertise in using the above mentioned methods on the other hand.  Based on that we support our mandates with an excellent expertise and experience to develop the long time innovation strategy based on the core competence of our customers.

In collaboration with or customers we  prepare and work out development strategies as long time barriers for the innovation cockpits which are the controlling instrument to realize the development targets.
