Technology Todays manufacturing technologies consist of a variety and complexity which can not be handled with the kind of  experience based knowledge as it has been in the past. Therefore for the competability now and even more in the future it is more be a extremely important to have not only the knowledge about actual  technologies but even better be a leader in applying new manufacturing technologies. In addition the analysis and optimisation of production processes changes from optimising single process steps towards the  analysis and optimisation of complete process chains starting with the raw part an ending with the finished part.
